Creamy Garlic and Creamy Spinach Soups

Two McDougall soups that Ben made this week. As I said before the McDougall recipes lack in salt, but I also think they often lack in flavor, as with these two.

Creamy Garlic Soup:

This soup is basically garlic, onions, and potatoes, blended. Plain it is pretty bland. BUT if you put some nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper in there is perks right up. It turns into a warm, creamy, cheesy soup that is very hearty. Definitely going on the menu for next week too.

Creamy Spinach Soup:

This soup is basically spinach, potatoes, and onions blended and then some mushrooms mixed in. Even with salt and pepper I just couldn’t make it pop and there isn’t enough spinach in it for me to justify the taste for the nutritional value. Probably won’t make this soup again… too bad.
