BLT Sandwich Revisited

As you remember, I made a tofu BLT sandwich a few weeks ago that I was in love with. Well, about a week ago I decided to try it a bit differently. I pressed the tofu like I did before, but then marinated it in the sauce from the previous recipe for a few hours. Then I cut the tofu block into three slabs about 1/3″ thick and fried them in oil. I sprinkled a little nutritional yeast on them while frying like I did in the last recipe.

In the end I liked this way better than the original way. It didn’t fall apart as easily because all the tofu was in one big piece and I think it was more flavorful because of the marinating.
