Raw Protein Powders

So, knowing that I was going to try and be around 80% raw and also knowing that I was going to pick weight lifting back up with my personal trainer, I had to find some good raw vegan protein powders. Below are my two favorites. Just in case you are in the market for a good raw protein powder, I listed the benefits and disadvantages of each. I like the Sunwarrior way better, but both are good.

Veglife’s Peaceful Planet Hunza Meal Raw Foods Smoothie
Pros:
Non-GMO
~50% organic
Is more than just protein with tons of freeze-dried fruits and veggies
Works as a meal replacement drink
$1.74/serving on Lucky Vitamin

Cons:
Has a weird fake berry sugary taste
Isn’t good just mixed with water
Can’t double as a dessert (ties into taste problem)

Tastes AMAZING – either in water or with peanut butter and banana for a sort of ‘milkshake.’ This also means it’s not only an after workout shake but an awesome dessert.
Only 5 ingredients (less is more)
High protein, low calorie and low fat (it’s actually 85% protein!)
Non-GMO
$1.33/serving from Good Earth

Cons:
Can’t be used as a meal replacement drink
