I’ve made so many things with The Vegg over the past few weeks but keep forgetting to post the recipes! In fact, we’ve made so many things we’ve completely run out! But no worries, I just ordered more from Amazon so that we can keep making cool things.
Here, we have the french toast recipe with The Vegg that is on the package and on The Vegg’s website. Seen here with some strawberry jam and hash browns.
Personally I wasn’t a huge fan of this recipe for French toast. It was SUPER eggy (to the point where it was more savory than sweet) and kind of a weird texture. When I make it again I will definitely put more milk and less Vegg, so that’s something to keep in mind.
1/2 C Water
2 tsp Vegg powder
1/2 C Plant milk (sweetened works best here, but you could do plain)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
6-7 slices Bread
Blend water, Vegg, milk, and cinnamon in a blender until smooth. When working with The Vegg, my rule of thumb is to blend until I no longer see little flakes in the mixture and it’s a consistent color and texture.
Pour into a shallow bowl and immideiately dip bread and place on pan/griddle. If you leave this mixture for too long the Vegg will start getting gummy and gelatinize.
Grill until browned on both sides and serve!
