Happy belated Thanksgiving! I have so many great pictures and festive recipes to share with you all. I mean, we’re still technically in ‘the holidays,’ right?? These fit right in—you could make some of them for Christmas! I’m just giving you some Christmas meal ideas!
First off, our Thanksgiving was awesome. Since Ben’s family is all over the place (California to eastern Canada) we did a combined Thanksgiving; my immediate family, us, Ben’s mom Merilynn, and his brother Josh.
We decided to do an all-vegan Thanksgiving. Last year we did a vegan-friendly Thanksgiving, but this year we went all out. It made sense since my family is veg-friendly and tries to eat pretty healthy. Plus Merilynn, Josh, and my sister Rachel are all vegetarians—and we are… well, you know.
We planned up an awesome menu and both my mom and Merilynn are amazing chefs so I was pretty excited. Here’s what we came up with:
From top right, clockwise: Spicy mac n’ yease, pepper jelly with cream cheese and crackers, mashed potatoes, glazed baked onions, extra onion glaze, stuffing, lentil loaf, almond green beans, candied yams, roasted Brussels sprouts, fresh citrus cranberry sauce, and coleslaw. We also did our ‘cheesy’ sage gravy, which was on the stove.
Everything was simply fantastic and we had a wonderful time. Enjoy the pictures below. I will also be posting recipes as I get to them and linking to them from this page—so check back soon!
