Vegan Cheesy Sage Gravy Recipe

This is seriously THE BEST gravy recipe in the world. I originally made it when I made Dutch oven pot pie a few years ago but we loved it so much it’s now our go-to gravy. We’ve made it for three Thanksgivings in a row and it’s always a huge hit! Plus, it’s SO easy!

6 Tbs Oil
6 Tbs Whole wheat flour
6 Tbs Nutritional yeast
3 C Water
3 C Oat milk (or soy, or almond…)
2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Sage
1 tsp Thyme
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Paprika

Whisk oil, flour, and nutritional yeast together in a large pot over medium-high heat on the stove. Once the mixture begins to bubble add the remaining ingredients. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until thickened.

This is best the same day that you make it and served hot.
