Vegan Candied Yams Recipe

My mom's candied yams
Yams
6 C Yams
1 C Sugar
3/4 C Margarine
1/2 C Plant milk

Crumb topping
1/2 C Brown sugar
2/3 C Flour
1/2 C Margarine
1/2 C Pecans, chopped

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Wash, peel, and cube the yams. Put them in a large pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and cook until soft. Drain and mash.

Add the rest of the yam ingredients and mix until incorporated. Place in a baking dish.

Mix the crumb topping ingredients and sprinkle the mixture over the top of the yams.

Bake for 40 minutes.
