Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I thought I’d do a post about some of the vegan chocolate options this year. There are so many, it’s hard to choose!
Budget (Order before January 31 for 15% off!)
If you order before January 31, you can get 15% off your order with Sjaak’s with the code Val1513. Sjaak’s has a huge selection of chocolates that you can buy individually and they also have 3-pound tubs of chocolates! Yum! Most of their selection is in the $5-20 range, but their tubs are upwards of $65.
Rose City Chocolatier makes some of THE BEST filled chocolates—fruit creams, marzipan, hazelnut praline, cordial cherries, hazelnut crisp, brasero ganache… the list goes on! We ordered their 29-count box two years ago and absolutely loved it. Check out the post for some pictures. Their chocolate boxes range from $20-60.
Cakewalk in SLC in selling Valentine’s boxes for $25, or $36 to get one shipped to you. The boxes have 2 giant peanut butter-filled chocolate hearts, 2 Valentine’s sugar cookies, 1 mini cherry chocolate chip cheesecake, 2 dillos (Cakewalk’s version of twinkles), and 2 truffles.
Lagusta’s Luscious chocolate of the month this month is a box of twenty heart-shaped, hand-painted bonbons for $40. In our experience, Lagusta’s Luscious makes some pretty amazing and decadent chocolates—so we definitely think this box will be a winner. But remember! Since they make all of their chocolates with fresh ingredients, you should eat them within two weeks. You can also note in the special instructions when you buy to have it arrive within two weeks of Valentine’s day.
Happy Herbi opened an Etsy shop full of raw vegan chocolates, cookies, and even a cheesecake! Prices range from $11 to $60 with small and large assortments.
